Description | In-depth study and applications of polynomial, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic functions, and systems of equations using matrices. Additional topics such as sequences, series, probability, and conics may be included. This is a corequisite taken only with MATH 1314 in the same semester/ part of term. | ||||||||

Determination of Final Grade |
PASS/FAIL determination will be dependent on your final grade in MATH 1314:
A,B, or C = SD
D or F = UD
Or: Students receiving a D or F in MATH 1314 can still obtain a passing mark (SD) in this section by achieving an overall score of 75% or better on the course materials in the Blackboard modules. Determination of overall grade for the course materials is as follows: Video Lessons: 25% Quizzes: 75% |

This is a co-requisite support section for students taking MATH 1314 who are not currently TSI compliant. Students in this co-requisite section must also be enrolled in MATH 1314 for the same semester. Announcements and Messages:
All relevant information about this course will be communicated to students using announcements posted on Blackboard or through the "Messages" feature on Blackboard. You will receive an email copy of each announcement, but replies to those emails will not be monitored nor receive a response. Students should use the "Messages" feature on Blackboard or their LSCPA email to communicate with the instructor; any communications from personal email accounts (gmail,yahoo,etc.) may be ignored.
Video Lessons: Each section in the Modules contains a short series of video lessons which must be completed before the Module Quiz is due. These are 25% of your overall grade. Homework: Each series of Video Lessons is followed by a practice homework problem set. These problem sets are provided to help you prepare or review for the Module Quiz. The homework sets do not count toward or against your overall grade. Quiz: Each module contains a Quiz covering the Module materials and must be completed by the end of the three week time-frame for each Module. These are 75% of your overall grade. |
